Introducing Faye, our newest Influencer Relations Manager here at Route. Originally from London — Faye loves to traverse the globe and if we’re not mistaken, she is currently exploring Cape Town.
FAYE’S ROUTE:
“After graduating from university in 2017 I moved to London to start my career in Fashion PR, after a year or so I ended up starting a new role in the Fashion and Lifestyle team of a start-up Influencer Marketing Agency and haven't looked back since.
Fast forward to 2022, I no longer live in London, but base myself in Greece throughout the summer and travel during the winter. The Influencer Marketing industry is still booming and I have managed to continue my passion for travel as well as keep progressing in an industry and career that I love.”
WHAT TRENDS SHOULD WE EXPECT TO SEE IN INFLUENCER MARKETING IN 2022?
Video takeovers, due to the fact that video content on social media is now seen as much consumption time as traditional TV. This means we can expect to see all social channels and their users taking steps towards prioritizing video content over static content.
Increase in paid social; Over the past year brands have doubled their budgets in paid media, which is most likely due to the ever-changing media landscape and brands looking to build lasting relationships with customers in order to increase online sales.
Lastly, authenticity, as fake news and beauty filters have been prevalent in society we can expect to see brands and users taking steps to be more genuine and human when it comes to their online presence and offering more transparency, empathy and openness about challenges they may be facing.
